Who can work in Hungary from India today?
Hungary is effectively closed to Indian candidates for low- and medium-skilled jobs: no country is currently designated for the guest-worker permit, and the permit for non-graduate work is listed only for Georgia, Armenia and the Philippines. Graduates can use the EU Blue Card, the Hungarian Card for listed fields, or work on approved priority investments.

What is the minimum pay for a Hungary work permit?
Only the legal minimums. We do not publish salaries for jobs we do not have.

How does hiring from India work for Hungary?
- Get a job offer of at least 6 months (fixed term) at or above the threshold.
- Apply at the Hungarian consulate for your nationality or residence, or the employer files via Enter Hungary with your written consent.
- Authority decides (administrative time 21 days; final decision within 70 days).
- Collect the visa for the permit, enter Hungary and receive the card.

What a genuine job offer includes
Under India’s Emigration Rules, a recruiting agent must give you the details of the job before recruiting you. Before you accept, you should have in writing:
- the employer’s name and the country and city of work;
- the job title and what the work is;
- the pay, hours and length of the contract;
- who pays for the visa, medical, ticket and housing before you start.
