Romania jobs for Indians
We have no open vacancies in Romania right now, and we will not list one until an employer’s demand letter and power of attorney are on file with us. What we can show you is which occupations official Romania sources list as in demand, and how hiring from India works.
Who can work in Romania from India today?

What is the minimum pay for a Romania work permit?
Only the legal minimums. We do not publish salaries for jobs we do not have.
- D/AM1 long-stay work visa (highly qualified and special categories)
- Not confirmed for 2026. The official visa page refers to a legal salary threshold ('pragul legal') without stating it. Equal treatment with Romanian workers doing the same activity applies.
- workinromania.gov.rochecked 24 Oct 2026
- EU Blue Card (Romania)
- Not confirmed: sources conflict. KPMG (secondary) says that since 8 March 2024 (Law 28/2024) the minimum is the average gross salary (previously two average gross salaries). The EU Immigration Portal page (updated 1 Apr 2025) says at least four times the national average gross wage. Confirm with IGI before publishing a figure.

How does hiring from India work for Romania?
- Employer creates an account (hub.mai.gov.ro) and registers on WorkinRomania.gov.ro; it is entered in the R.A.S. register of employers of foreigners.
- Employer uploads a firm job offer: job title, duties, salary, working hours, contract length, workplace (and leave, housing, transport where offered).
- Employer files the single application (cerere unică) online with the supporting documents. The worker does not file it.
- Authorities check the employer, pay and conditions and the worker's eligibility; the decision is posted on the platform.

What a genuine job offer includes
Under India’s Emigration Rules, a recruiting agent must give you the details of the job before recruiting you. Before you accept, you should have in writing:
- the employer’s name and the country and city of work;
- the job title and what the work is;
- the pay, hours and length of the contract;
- who pays for the visa, medical, ticket and housing before you start.
