Germany's Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte) is a groundbreaking points-based visa allowing qualified professionals to come to Germany for 12 months to find employment — without a job offer.

Points System Breakdown

You need minimum 6 out of 14 points:

•

Qualification recognition: up to +4 points

•

Work experience: 2-4 years = +2, 5+ years = +3

•

German language: A2 = +1, B1 = +2, B2 = +3, C1+ = +4

•

English B2+: +1 point

•

Age 35 or under: +2 points, 36-40: +1

•

Previous stay in Germany: +1

•

Spouse with qualifications: +1
